Welcome to our scrapbook. We live in Edge Hollow, but you’ve probably never heard of Edge Hollow, since we don’t even have our own exit from the interstate. The grown-ups here say that’s a good thing though. Our names are Heinrick and Prudence Monkbein. Our family’s kinda famous here because our great-grandad was Thaddeus Monkbein, the inventor. He invented a lot of stuff, stuff you use everyday. Or at least stuff we use everyday around here. We don’t get many outsiders, but when we do they tell us our Mech is weird. You can’t buy our Mech just anywhere. Actually, we don’t even sell to outsiders. They used to, but I guess it got too hard. Something about lawsuits. So now we just sell to the government.
Our teacher had all the kids make these scrapbooks because it’s the hundredth anniversary of a really important invention, that we don’t know how to spell. Anyway, she said to take pictures of ourselves with Edge Hollow mech, find clippings and other stuff you could put in. These pictures are handmade platinum-palladium prints.
